Unlocked bootloader, lost TA partition and DRM keys, can Sony fix?

Hey,

Unlocked the bootloader and installed CM. As a result of this, i lost my DRM keys and TA partition. While CM works fine i would like get my phone back to the state it was when it came out of the factory. I know this is out of warranty, but does anybody know if Sony can fix this and what it would cost me?

Thanks in advance!

The question was can Sony fix it and the answer is no however if you do want it back to stock with DRM keys then this would require a new motherboard

Haven't you read the risk part from their website before unlocking your bootloader.

Sony already knows these issues and I believe they will never fix it.

@KomilAD: Yes i have read the disclaimer. I am a huge CM fan that i took that for granted (afterwards i've learned about TA-backup, unfortunately) But since the CM12.1 for the Z3c has some issues and the update and recovery processes are not great i wanted to go back to original. I would have thought that Sony would have a software tool laying around which can generate new DRM keys.Like i said, i know this is out of warranty and i don't mind paying for service, but first i wanted to know if it was possible at all.

@Thommo: Thanks for the answer. Is this because the DRM keys are generated with a unique hardware identifier?

I believe you are well known for flashing roms/mods so you might knew that some of your DRM features can be restored even if you haven't backed up TA partition, see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/xperia-z1-z2-z3-series-devices-drm-t2930672

Yeah i read that thread Slightly_smiling_Face

I would prefer real DRM keys, but perhaps i can give this a try. Thanks for the reminder!

The fix does not work with AOSP based roms.. Maybe the sony stock rom is not that bad Slightly_smiling_Face

My story:
I was flashing stock firmware via flashtool, accidentally flashed simlock.ta. It did not simlock the phone per se but the following problems started:
1. Simcard invalid (my sim works fine on other phones)

2. Camera focus not working

3. Camera freezes on capture

4. X-Reality not working

I read online and people told me that my TA partition was damaged. I do not have backup of my TA

I flashed the link you provided with locked bootloader I don't know how but it fixed all the problems except the simcard invalid problem. Would really appreciate any ideas on fixing that.

P.S I cannot unlock my bootloader, service menu says 'Rooting status: Unknown"
