Under Water?

I just got the Z1 last week,even though its water proof im scared to put it underwater...i would like to know if anyone has had good or bad experiences?

You are aware that this is a support forum, which means users come here bc they have issues with their devices, with that said, as long as firmly close all the flaps your phone will be fine

I have positive experience. I did few pictures in water pool, used phone in rain and cleaned it in a fresh water flow. But be aware that you need to have flaps really firmly closed, if you hit the phone, drop it under water or put any other pressure on it those flaps may open and then you will lose your phone.

Also after immersing it in water (no salt water!) let the phone dry at least 2 - 3 hours before opening any flap. 

When screen is wet it may do wierd things like respond to touches where water drops are on the screen so activate screen lock before taking pictures.

I gently wash my screen from time to time whit tap water under  a stream of water and didn't had any problems. But be aware that if the flaps don't close properly or a hair ore something gets trapped between the rubber that seals the port and the port  water may enter the phone and damage it. Also if the flaps has signs of wear the waterproofing may be compromise.

Does anyone knows what is the waterproof barrier at the bottom of the phone where the speaker and mic are? Is just the grill that ensures that water doesn't go in?
