I can't understand something:
The guy who posted the issue was asking how to delete messages faster, and the answer was tu back them up...
What am I missing? :-??

The back up post prepared for the answer given later so one will not loose any info.

The solution was

Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Messaging -> Force stop, Clear data and restart your phone.

I've been having issues for the past 3 months and thought the latest update would have fixed the problem. My text messages take longer than a minute to delete.. Can someone help, is everyone having this issue?? Seen post from 2014, have the compact Xperia 8 months old thanks

Are those who are posting solitions the ones who dpnt even own an experia device?
Clearly many people have this problem and it is probably true with all messagimg app that comes with experia.

Having said that, there still is no working solution posted.
Is there a Sony person who even reads these issues posted?
Deleting data does not work.
In my case, even back up didnt work. Tried deleting data as posted regardless, data does not get deleted!
After multiple attemps, finally it showed 0KB of data, however after restart, it again showed the same amt of data and also all the msgs were still there when opening the app.
In any case, it takes over a minute to delete a single message.
Amazingly nobody at sony seems to care, this is because Sony is well known to release new product and abandon its old releases with no concerns.
No wonder experia is not as popular despite so many +s.
