Two quick questions

This is for a guy who switched from iPhone to the z3 compact.
Question 1: in the messaging app only one side of the messages is showing, just messages received, not sent. Is there a way to have on one screen both sides of the conversation?

Question 2: is there a way to have banner alerts on the screen like the iPhone? Where when the phone is asleep and receives a message it lights up and displays the received message?

Open the app drawer > swipe left to right > installed > start uninstalling apps, one at a time until you find the culprit or backup your phone and then repair it with PCC

So after everything was said and done, my bosses' phone still was not recieving messages from me. Just me. Everyone else was working fine. He was on the phone with tech support for about an hour, he wiped all of our conversation, deleted my contact, re added me and was still having a problem. So while trying to figure this out, I had the bright idea to call him from my phone. After everything worked fine. What a weird bug.
