Turn off Charging LED

Is there any way to turn off the LED light when charging? I'm trying to use the official magnetic charging dock, but the LED is too bright to sleep. I have to resort to using the usb cable with the phone upside down.

There doesn't seem to be a fix for this without rooting. It kind of renders the official charger unusable for me.

I can't be the only one who sees this as a problem.

I managed to use light flow to set red charging notifications. Bit of a bodge, but it works until Sony patch it.

theres is no way to turn it off but if you download charging LED app then you can change its behaviour and colour

I found changing it to red was not as bright and making it blink was miles better

set the on time to as low as possible but not 0 then set the blink delay to as long as possible that way it does blink often and its just a quick blink 😉

turn the phone away from you when docked to be charged overnight that way the light would not be in your face

I downloaded the Charging LED app but none of the settings had any effect. I must be missing something. Would you mind sharing what settings you used please?

There are a Xposed framework that can turn it off, but then you need to root your phone.

Mine turns off the charging LED but it's because it's sometimes use more power than the charger can deliver even while unused. Sony should never has bought Sony Ericsson. They obviously makes crappy phone hardware and software designs in sweden!
