Throw and wifi connection slow on z5 compact

I got a z5 compact because my Z1 broke, and there is quite the dissapointment.

Its quite slow in usage, opening apps etc, the battery life is worse than the Z1, but what this is about is major annoyance in daily use; I had hoped that it would be as fast working as the Z1 when it was new, before the software upgrades made it really slow to...

1: when using stamina, it takes long time to connect to wifi after wakeup, from 30-60 secons... The Z1 did not haves this problem, it just connected really fast.

2: When selecting Throw, it takes around 20 seconds to display the available connections to throw to... The Z1 took maybe one second, and normally connected to the nearest automaticalliy anyway.

Why this bad performance, is anyone else having the same trouble?
And please dont tell me to "repair" the software, the phone is 3 weeks out of the box, it should not be necessary to do this ...Looking forward to a solution to this, since I feel a bit stupid for choosing Sony phone again....

@SorenLH

That doesn't sound right, I have the Z5 and Z5 premium and they are fast, @alexdon do you experience lag on the Z5 compact?

could you boot on >>> safe mode to test this issues?

No problem with the wifi on the compact, really moves fast with that. However I will have to try a bluetooth headset or something to check throw. By weekend I will reply.

Bluetooth is very slow to connect after some days of usage. I have two cars, one with an older kenwood headunit, and the other brand new Mondeo (Fusion in US) with Ford Sync. Both have the same problem. (sometimes it fails to connect completly, wifes Samsung S5 never has problems) And, just to confirm SorenLH's wondering: Yes, the z5c is more laggish, has more batterydrain, worse camera, frekvently hangs and self reeboots and many more "Premium features" than the Z1c and Z3c had. I know, i come from ZR, Z1C and Z3C. Same apps, same usage and all problems started with this phone.

Yes, i have tried safemode, factory reset and phonerepair via pc as i am very eager to solve this,, but no 👎

I do not think that it has to do with any falty hardware in the phone, its just so poorly programmed and (my guess) heavely trottled due to heat and battery usage..

Do i have to say that i'm disapointed with this flag? 😕🚽
If marshmallows doesnt fix this phone to AT LEAST z3c's performance i will give up Sony.. Life has so much more to offer than getting pissed of on a expensive bad product with close to zero customer care 💔

Sincerly.

@z1compacto lol I can't agree more, it takes forever to open any app on a Z5C, the phone freeze like everytime I unlock it, all that with a battery that can't even last a day.

I can't say there is lag but it does heat up sometimes. I had a smartband connected and a bluetooth headset, no problem however.

Hi, thank you very much for the reply.

I tried to go into safe mode, ithe throw function worked fast as it should, and when returning to normal it (so far) works as desired.

It still uses a LOT of battery though...

thx again, Søren
