Hi, I could swipe/flick vertically but somehow, some settings got changed and now I can only swipe horizontally and not vertically. Is there some way to change the direction so that I can scroll vertically?

To make it clear, this is what you are saying

Album app > open a picture > swipe left / right to move to the next picture

because if you open the album app you can swipe up/down to scroll down the pictures > you can also pinch zoom to show more or less pictures on the screen.

What I mean is, when I am looking at my album and and want to flick through the photos quickly, I could swipe the screen vertically (lengthwise), but now I can only do it width wise (horizontally). Hope this makes sense.

Thanks uliwooly! Sorted now! It was showing more pictures (grid pattern) and when I tapped one to make it full screen iI would swipe only right left, not up down to get to the next one. I had to get out of the grid pattern to a single picture. Now works fine.
