Startup Animation Changed

Hello everyone,

I noticed that when I turned on my Xperia Z1 today that the startup animation changed. When I turn it on the Sony logo still comes up on the screen as well as the Xperia logo following it but after that it doesn't have the colorful stream flowing across the screen that you see when you first turn on a new Xperia Z1. it instead has the Xperia Air theme animation. How can I revert back to the original animation? Below is the animation that I had at the beginning and am trying to get back.

You are correct. I just did some digging around and found that the animation I had was there because I hadn't update the handset but I did two updates and when I turned it on today the animation changed wich is because of the new software. I guess getting the old boot animation is something the XDA community could do. I personally don't have the "Xperia ZR" logo on my screen. I just foudn that image on the internet. I think it is a modified boot logo because I have never seen a ZR that had that boot logo.

So you flashed your Z1?

No, I left the way it is. The image I posted was somebody who probably did some modifications like that. I just did a wireless update after I got it and noticed that when I rebooted my handset that the boot animation changed. I like the old one more but I'll stick with my new one. I cannot afford to void my warranty especially with all the problems being talked about with this handset.

So you did not get kitkat yet to your Z1?

I currently have 14.3.A.0.757. I don't know if that dictates the firmware or software. I connected my handset to bridge for Mac and it states that I currently have the current software. I tried to update via bridge for mac from the start but it constantly threw an error when I selected next so I had to install the new software using the over the air service.

I actually have the new boot image. I liked the old one more though and was asking originally what happened to it.
