Hey Everyone!
I recently switched from iPhone to Xperia z5 compact, so I don't know if this is an issue which already affected previous models.
Basically, I usually listen to music using bluetooth headphones. However, this is not always possible and I sometimes need to use devices with a cable.
Now, I've been mainly using apps like Spotify and Deezer to listen to my music and whenever I am on one of these with cable headphones or if I plug a cable to connect my phone to my car speakers, annoying things happen. In fact, in these situations, I can only play one song, after which the music stops and I have unlock the phone, access the app and start the new one from the app itself (it doesn't work from the lock screen or the notification centre). This problem is affecting only third parties apps apparently, or Deezer and Spotify. In fact, if I use the Sony Music app, cable headphones work fine.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this issue, or what it could be? I assume it's a software bug.

Solved! Go to Solution.
eliotlovell mentions being in contact with Spotify and that the latest update for Spotify helps. I've also seen more reports of this so it may be that an update of Deezer is needed as well.
Are you able to set a crossfade in Deezer? That helped when this happended in Spotify.
Hi, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work. Frustrating!!!!!😁
Still not working! Please help!,??
Are these tracks that you have downloaded for offline usage or are you streaming? If you are streaming, have you tried this on both WiFi and mobile data?
Hi, is there any progress in sovling this problem? I have a Z5 Premium, and I use Deezer, on both WiFi and mobile data. I listen to both downloaded and streaming songs. In all combinations the player stops after each song.
I do hope there will be a solution soon!!
We have not been able to replicate this so i'm not sure what could cause it.
Would it be possible for you to take a log file from your phone after Deezer has stopped and send it to me?
To do this:
1. Settings > About phone > Build number, tap 7 times on the build number
2. Go back and select Developer options and turn on "USB debugging"
3. Restart your phone
4. Start Deezer and play music
-When Deezer stops after a song:
5. Settings > Developer options, select "Take bug report". When the report is ready (can take a minute or two) you get a notification that you can tap and share to Google Drive. Please share the file on Drive and send me a link in a private message.
Sorry to hear about your experience.
If you update Spotify to the latest version, this should help. If it happens with Deezer, could you please send me a log as described above?
Link to bug report sent.
any news on a fix?
Same issue here, when running Deezer. I had a week of it running ok, factory reset and app reinstall didn't work
Could you confirm if you are using the free version of Deezer or the premium version?
When the music stops, do you see any commercial?
