Hello World!
I have a strange but very annoying problem (probably a bug) on my Z5 Dual. When I have the sound off it suddenly turns on by itself and I start getting call ringtone, text message sounds etc. Not sure if the apps somehow turn the sound back on or the phone does it.
It happens when I have turned off 'ringtones and notifications' (the one with the bell icon) and also when I have turned off the previous together with 'media' (note icon).
What's more it also happens when I have turned on the do not disturb mode without specifying the time, which means it should stay on indefinitely. Suddenly it just turns off and I start getting notification sounds out of the blue.
Do you have any idea what's causing it and how to get rid of that issue? It's very annoying when I am asleep and notifications wake me up or when at work and I don't want to be disturbed. Turning the phone off completely is not a clever solution.

Hey, I found out what was causing the problem and also found a solution to it! It was actually caused by an app called 1up & Coin Sound Theme - Free. It used to be very nice in older versions of Android like Marshmallow but in Nougat it's completely messed up! What's weird is that it only has SMS permission but it somehow takes control of Android.
Solution: uninstall 1up & Coin Sound Theme - Free! (this can be accepted as solution)
Okay, I shall try that but only temporarily of course.
Oh, one thing I have noticed, not sure if it's causing the problem but under Support > Application problems I have Facebook and I think it's been there since I updated it after the factory reset but it's been working fine despite being problematic according to Support. Unfortunately it doesn't say what kinda problems is it having but is Facebook likely to cause my sound notifications issue?
Sorry about 3 consecutive replies but I tried using the safe mode twice yesterday, both times for about 8 hours and notification sounds stayed off all the time, so I guess the issue is caused by a none default app indeed (or one that's been updated maybe). What would be the best thing to do next?
Well, it seems no one has any idea, so maybe I should contact Sony support directly or post on Android forums instead as it could well be a Nougat 7.1.1 bug, I mean even if an app is triggering it, Android surely shouldn't let it change its settings just like that...
Haven't been able to find help yet, so hopefully someone else happens to read it...
