Screen goes black during call

Hello, if I want to make the Z5 a call and dial the number and pick up the phone, the screen goes black and I can do nothing more. It then responds to anything, not even on the Power button until the other ends the call. Then, the screen lights up again and it goes back all normal.

Es reagiert dann auf nichts, nicht mal auf die Power Taste bis der andere das Gespräch beendet. Dann wird der Bildschirm wieder **bleep** und es geht wieder alles normal.

Do you have a screen protector installed? It can be covering the proximity sensor and cause this problem.

Ok, have the screen protector removed. Looks like when it comes now. Will there watching.

Keep us updated, a proper screen protector must not cover the proximity sensor even if it's perfectly clear.

Hi!

I think I have found a bug.

If I get a call I can answer it and the screen deactivates immediately after bringing it near my ear. So far, so good. But after the caller hung up the screen keeps black, even if I press the power button. I have to press the power button a few times before the screen wakes up again, showing the lock screen. 

And because of this "black screen issue" I cannot end a call, because the screen is always deactivated.

The proximity sensor is working fine.

I am on build 32.0.A.6.152, baseband 8994-FAAAANAZQ-00029-16

Anybody else with this problem?

Hi.

My Z5 goes black when trying to make a call. When i press a number or call someone in the contact list, the screen goes black as soon as i press the call button. I cant hang up or cancel the call. The screen remains black until the voicemail in the other end stops.

As long as i call somone in the log/recent calls, everything works fine.

Anyone else with the same problem?

Do you have a screen protector installed on your phone? It might be covering the sensor and causing this issue.

Hi.

Yes, the original one that followed the phone when i bought it. Its not covering the sensor.

Remove it and call any number, see if issue persists.
