You can, go to Settings -> Sound and Notifcation -> Phone ringtone -> You'll find an icon of music note on top right corner, tap it and choose an MP3 from your library. You can also place MP3 ringtone files in the folder called "Ringtones" in phone memory or SD card, and they will appear in Sound Picker directly.

Hi Phy,

you can still go this sequence and set right ring tone for particular contact.

but it does not ring the one set for the particular contact but the default one 😞

I start hating Sony for their poor technical solutions and support 😞

it is definitely not something i expected for such money.

@gigione I am sorry to hear that; however is the file you have set as a custom ringtone stored on the SD Card or Internal Memory?

i keep all music files on SD card. does it make any difference?

i set mp3 file on SD card as the default ringtone and for couple of contacts i set also individual ringtones (also mp3 on SD card) but only default mp3 ringtone works.

same happens when i change default ringtone to Xperia rings and keep individual ringtones (mp3 on SD card) unchanged.

best regards.

In this case I would try moving a couple of audio files over to the internal memory then testing.
