Hi friends,
I have the following problem. I have Sony Xperia Z (c6603) which I purchase on 07.2013. Two months ago the phone broke in my pocket (Display, touch screen also the back panel - all gorila glass parts :smileyhappy:). Because there is no official service in my town(Plovdiv, Bulgaria) I give the phone to some service here and they changed the broken parts.
Now phone have some other problem: After few (2-3) hours work screen begin to flickr, letters look like they are swimming in water and later part of display turn to black. I am big fan of Sony and have lot of their products (Phones, TVs, Cameras) but I am really in love with this phone and I wonder is there some way to fix this problem or I will have to continue to use Mine Xperia X10. May be later in 2015 will change it with Xperia Z3 but now I dont have this opportunity.
Here some images before the reapar:

The first thing you can do is repair your phone with PCC and see if that helps

Thaks for the reply @uliwooly but I already try this option (several times). Unfortunately it didn't help. I am not sure that problem is sofware.
Sorry to hear that, then the issue could be the LCD or perhaps a ribbon, I hope it has nothing to do with the motherboard bc that will be way too expensive
I beelive I have the same problem as you do. But I can't see the pictures you posted...
I replaced the lcd and touch of a xperia z, and all was working fine. after a week started appearing this problems:
Tested it with the original display, it works fine, so I replaced with another new display, and after a week same problem again.
Now both displays I bought of ebay do this problem, original dispay does not.
same is happening with me...............so if we change its touch with original one then will it work?
No. in my case it only works fine with original LCD display
My device Xperia Z C6602 Android 4.4.4
Same thing happening to me. Some times when I connect the chager that problem ok. When I unpul it comes again. I installed jelly bean same thing. I cleand display ribbon and motherboard connect port. But I could not slove this. My original touch screen was cracked. So Ibought a nex lcd and touch screen from ebay. I don't have original display to chech this... If anyone slove this please help me to slove this... But I know
FOR EVERY PROBLEM THERE IS A WAY TO SLOVE IT.
I'm waiting for your comments.
Hi guys,
Well your problem lies in not reusing all the foils and flex covers from the original display, flex cables are close together and are creating an interference.
When changing display make sure you do the following:
1. Turn off the phone. VERY IMPORTANT, you can damage the battery by just unplugging it while phone turned on (also LCD). (Hard turn off is with power button + volume up.
2. When disassembling make sure to remember where all the covering foils from flex cables go, do not bend flex cable too much, use common sense and light touch.
3. Do not start the phone before you have all the screws in and DO NOT TIGHTEN TOO MUCH, also back cover should be in place, notice two golden dots on the back plate especially on Sony Xperia series
4. When backlight flickering (strobe like effect) on sides occur even after following steps above, DO NOT PANIC!, turn on a game or any application that won't turn off the display for a few hours, plug the charger in and burn the LEDs on the backlight, as time passes you will see the flickering disappearing slowly, mine was about 2-3 hours
5. Turn off the phone to cool down.
6. Voila
Mine worked this way and just because I panicked I torn away the mic flex and all that was needed was a little bit of patience.
Hope this helps someone.
btw, the pictures above, that is either interference or damaged flex cable, but I believe you just need to put the foils between the flex cables.
