The videos recorded by the cell phone doesn't run properly when transfered to the PC. I get black image and no sound, but the progression bar of the player shows that the video is running. It's not an issue in the codecs in my computer since I run any video file in it with no problems, including MP4 which is the same video file used by the phone. Not to mention that, looking around the net, I found many other owners of that same model experiencing the same problem as me.
Any help will be appreciated, thank you.
PS: I already instaled all the updates available for it.

If you are just using an "import" option via the PC then this would generally be the likes of Windows Mediaplayer doing the importing. You are best to either drag/drop or to use the MediaGo software to perform this function so you are getting the raw file.

Hi there. I'm storing the files in the internal memory.
Just to clarify, the videos play ok on the phone itslel and if so can you please advise which video player you are using on your PC?

Yes, the videos plays ok on the phone. Odd, I just found out that when I try to import the data by, on the computer, cliking the right button in the phone icone/import images and video, that's when the problem occurs (this method works fine with image files). But if I acces the video file directly through the phone's folders (internal storage/DCIM/100ANDRO), then I can extract the video files with no problem. Answering your other question, I use MPC-HC and by using the second method the video files plays just fine.
So, I can only assume that the problem is in the software used by the phone to tranfer the files from it to the computer.

Both solutions solves the problem. Thank you very much for your help!
Hello everyone, I have exactly the same problem I hope you can help me. Some of the videos moved to my PC play a black image and no sound. I've tried many video players for PC. The only difference is that I have already removed the original videos from my cell phone, so when I transfer the "broken" videos back to my cell phone they won't play either. Tried many apps too, for instance, Sony video player shows a message saying "No se puede reproducir el video. URL no válido". I am using MediaGo since I discovered the issue and for the moment all the transfered videos are working fine. So the problem seems to be when I drag and drop the files directly in the windows browser. But still, I'd like to be able to drag and drop my videos when I am on a friend's PC and if there is something I can do to recover my videos. Any advice would be great thanks.
I have the same proble, but after de import, the data was deleted from my sd card. Is there any way to recover de videos? so i can drag a drop please help!!!
I am sure you are trying to view a video, which was recorded in portrait mode. videos captured in portrait mode with full HD will not run properly on pc unless they are rotated 90 degree colockwise.
You just have to rotate the video orientation and it will run fine. I had many videos in Xperia Z1 and now I know the solution. I personally use VSDC Video Editor for fliping and rotating videos.
