Problem: Notification Sounds and Ringtones

Hi everyone. I have opened a topic about the sound distortion in the beginning of any sound on device. Alexdon[http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/7878] helped me very much. But i have noticed something different.

I did a factory reset and a clean install the latest update. Whenever I receive a message, call, whatsapp message etc. (or something that causes a notification sound or call sound), the sound freezes a bit or some cracking or lag happens just before starting to play. I tested it both with normal boot and safe boot. Is this a hardware or software problem? I need some Sony Stuff to help here. I have read all Xperia Z1 forums and some people have this problem. And it is on my Xperia Z1 Compact. This is a suberb phone and I need some help. Can I really need to go to Sony Service? or Warranty?

And is there anyone who has this problem?

I upgraded to KitKat today and have exactly the same issue on my Z1 C6903.

Very annoying indeed!

I bought this phone last friday and all was well until monday, cracking sound at the beginning of any message-sound, now those are all silent. Thank god alarm still works, otherwise i would be late for work every morning Face_with_rolling_Eyes booting fixes sounds for a moment. repair installation does nothing. Otherwise everything is super with this phone.

Same problem here with the KK update.. The mysterious  25/03/2014 update did not fix these soud issues..

The sound is incredibly low and seems to come from the ear plug on top of the phone (even when I have no ear plug connected in...) and not from the bottom speaker; And when miraculously the sound comes from the bottom speaker it is craked and saturated..

Very annoying, I hope Sony will fix this issue soon cause I miss a lot of calls and notifications.. What's the point to have a phone if I can't receive calls...?

What a pity for a 600$ smartphone..

I really think to sell it and go buy another brand, I'm very disapointed with Sony.. Nice products but **bleep**ty service (and please, do not tell me to reset the phone or wathever, it's been 3 days I struggle with the forums "solutions" and still have these sound problems...)

*Sorry for my bad English, I hope my message is still understandable, thanks.

I wait a few more weeks, if nothing changes, I go back to Apple. in 2 years I have restarted the Iphone 2/3 times.

With Sony at least 15 times in 2 weeks .. ridiculous ... and they want to compete with Apple???? ... I'm disappointed by the Sony service

Wake up sony!, solve problems! we are sick!

Sony! Please make a bugfix to resolve this problem!

Up to now, I lost many IMPORTANT calls because of the very low volume...

IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO PAY MORE THAN 400 EUROS AND HAVEN'T THE POSSIBILITY OF USING THE SMARTPHONE AS A PHONE!

I think that in few weeks in case of no reply from sony, I will buy a new iphone and "bye bye" sony!

a very sick z1C user!

Are your songs stored on SD or internal memory?

You do not understand.. That's not a problem of "where is the sound?" it's a problem of: ANY sound or notification do NOT goes out on the speaker at the bottom of the phone.. ANY sounds: notifications, ringtones, ... So the result is the sounds are very very low and we can not hear it when the phone is in our pocket.

And please, do not repeat us the moto "do you try to repear, restore, reinstal or wathever it simply DOES NOT WORK.
