Phone malfunction water

I didn't know you had to disable the touch screen under water.

The device will now turn back on but has set itself in airplane mode and the touchscreen doesn't work at all rendering the device useless.

I have har reset by button and volume / start button combo. Not sure what else to do. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the link unfortunately the phone is locked and it has somehow activated plane mode so I can't use touch to unlock it as the screen is totally unresponsive.

Even turning the camera on via using the physical button, there is no option being offered to unlock the touch block as I can't get into the menus. 

Any additional advice gratefully received!

Take an USB-OTG cable (you should be able to find it in near electronics shop for 2 - 5 USD) and connect normal USB mouse.

You should be able to regain control over the display. You can also try USB keyboard and use ESCAPE key as back key.
