Hey to all,
The problem:
I had a Xperia z5 Compact laying around for over a year. The glass was broken. I repaired it at a shop this week since my other phone died, and have none now.
Now this phone is working again, except I forgot the pattern I used over a year ago.
It won't let me use "forgot pattern" since it's the first pattern after restarting.
I tried reinstalling the mobile trough PC companion, but to be able to do that I have to unlock and change my mobile to MTP-modus.
Can someone help me?
Greetings,
Erik Schoneveld

Hi @Tjboler, welcome to our forum!
The link that @NunoSEN2 posted should give you all of the information you need to be able to reset the device, so the screen lock will be removed.
As far as I know, pattern screen locks can only be removed by performing a software repair using Xperia Companion and the Find my device service only works for PIN screen locks, you might however be able to reset the device using this service.
Keep us posted with how it went!
Yes great!
I used the method trough Companion. It didn't work at first but found out I hadn't restarted my computer yet.
Hi again @Tjboler!
Were you able to complete the software repair so that you can use your device now?
Feel free to keep us posted!
