notification sound in e-mail (in preinstalled from sony)

I am totally unable to set up own notification ringtone in e-mail app from sony. i can only turn on/off possibility to notify. and as notification sound is used setted up from setting->sounds->notification sound. and this sound is ussed for all other notification e.g. update center, so I dont know what sound notified. in previous version of android there was possibility to set own sound up. why not now?
