Hello,
I bought a z2 a few weeks ago and really liked it, everything worked well, including tethering... but since the latest android update, the tethering has stopped working.
When trying to tether, my computer connects to the phone, but it says 'no internet connection'. I am on the 3 network and use tethering a LOT for work... I have checked all the settings on my phone and changed the APN type from ''default,supl,mms,a-gps' to 'internet+mms' as suggested here:
But it made no difference. I dont know what else to try? It seems like there are a few others with the same issue. I am having to take the sim card out and put it in my old phone while at work so I can connect to the internet via tethering...
I'm really not happy about this as tethering is REALLY important for my business. Its the only way I can connect to the internet to order parts and email my customers.
Is there anything else I can try??
Thanks, Neil
Solved! Go to Solution.
Sorry to hear that you still have issues.
The issue is fixed in the latest software, 23.1.A.1.28 but after you have updated to this version you may also need to reset the APN-settings from Settings -> More -> Mobile networks -> Access Point Names -> [menu] (3 dots) -> Reset to default.
Then download new settings from Settings -> More -> Internet settings.
I had exactly the same problem (on the 3 network) and the latest update has fixed it for me. As noted above, I had to reset the APNs and re-download the settings. Tethering is now working again on my Z2 - very happy!
Hi everyone.
Did anybody have problem like thetering not working?
When I'm starting thetering, another device is connected but don't have access to the internet.
Sometimes there is an error massage like thetering error.
This startet to happen after the update.
Some users reported this issue with the first lollipop update but it seems to be fixed now, check if you have the latest update with PCC

Hi Mesjasz,
Welcome to the community,
You may also want to re download the Internet settings to helps with Internet connection issues.
Menu > Settings > More > Internet Settings > Accept disclaimer > Choose network
After that is done give it a go, if it fails continue with a software repair or update.
Let us know how you get on.
