Hi, I got my new Z2, not even a week. I have some **bleep**ty earphones from sony (bought for 10€~). First few days all went ok, but from today, phone can't detect earphones and earphones doesn't work. I tried my sennheiser headphones but no success. Is it possible that Z2 has damaged "hole for 3,5 jack" ? Don't know what to do...

I'm not sure it will help so I didnt try it. It was OK at morning, but now it's not working.. It's about 10 hours between that.. And I didn't update anything in these 10 hours. A. 4.4.4 is already 4 days on my phone, so I'm afraid it's a defective piece. I'm not sure about that so I tried support first, thanks for your help anyway. 🙂

Yes, I did a few days ago. I've got phone not even 7 days...
Try performing a system repair as this will often fix issues after an upgrade - This will factory reset your phone
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
Hi, a few people have had this issue since the update.....could be a coincidence so best to check a few things first.
Make sure the headphone socket/port is clean & dust free.....
Go to Settings - Apps & select All...scroll down to Headphone selection & open it....try clear cache
Also try Settings - Sounds - Audio settings - Headphones......there is a selection of different headphones here

Thanks for tips, I tried everything in this order, but sound is still going out of the speaker, not out of the earphones..
Ok, try Settings - Apps - All & scroll to Smart Connect & again clear cache

Hi, sorry.....have you tried the SYSTEM REPAIR as described by Thommo......also if you do a Search in the Forum for similar results/problems you will see possible solutions.
