hi ,
i am using xperia z
and unfortunately i have lost my stock charger. then i contacted the customer care and they told me that i needed to buy a EP880 charger. then when i went to purchase EP880 sony authorised stores told that EP880 is permanently discontinued and i had to purchase EP881 but on the box it says quick charger. and the sales person told me that now a days xperia z/zl is supplied with EP881 as stock charger.
i had read somewhere that using quick charger on daily basis could damage the battery(decreasing its life)
i have a blackberry charger whoes output is 5V and 700mA
i dont want my battery to be damaged
so what to do now?
get any other compatible charger or Ep881 or use the BB charger i already have
Thank you

Both EP880 and EP881 are quick chargers and have the same output.
Hi Rickard,
Yesterday I bought EP881. Charger model is same as EP880 but cable is EC-802 not EC-801(which comes with EP880).
What is diffrence between cable EC-801 and EC-802 ?
EC-802 have small cylinderical bump on both side of cable but EC-801 does not have them.
What is advantage of small cylinderical bump on EC-802 ?
They're ferrite cores which prevents interferance.
I bought Xperia Z C6602 second hand, the stock charger is EP800 wqith output 850mA, it gives long time charing, 5 hours drom 26% to 97%, so for 100% it can need for more than 5 hours charging. Several days ago I bought EP880 model OUTPUT 1.500Ma (ORIGINAL), first time I charged it, the head charger was damage immediately, claimed it for warranty, gave new one Ep880, I used it again, only worked for 3 days, then the head damaged again. So, I back, used old charger. Anyone experience like me?
Yes, you can buy the EP881 instead.
