Hi @King2028

Welcome to the community Slightly_smiling_Face

Can you please give me more details about the problem?

Please, note that if you use your device to talk, transmit data, or play games or music for an extended time, the device may get hot. This is normal because in these conditions the device uses more power than usual and therefore generates more heat.

Hi @King2028

I'm not sure I understand you completely, you completley, bu regarding updates, Xperia Z5 no longer will get new software updates or android versions.

If you are experience that kind of behavior, please try to boot your phone into safe mode. By doing so, you can check if any third party applications might be involved in the problem you’re having:

To enable safe mode:

1. Press and hold down the power key.

2. Touch and hold Power off until a pop-up message appears.

3. Tap OK.

If you run your phone in safe mode for a while and you don’t experience any problem, the problem you’re having is most likely related to a third party app that you’ve installed.

If you experience the problem, try to reboot your device without the sd-card (if you have one). If that solves the problem, that your sd-card could be damage!

If any of this helps, you can  perform a factory data reset. This is sometimes the best solution if your device stops functioning properly, but note that it will delete all personal content saved on the internal memory of your device. Make sure to back up data that you want to keep - you can do it on Xperia Companion. The data on an sd-card won´t be lost!

To back up your data using a computer

  1. Make sure that Xperia™ Companion for Windows or Mac OS is installed on your PC or Mac®.
  2. Connect your device to the computer using a USB cable.
  3. Computer: Open the Xperia™ Companion software. After a few moments, the computer detects your device.
  4. Select Backup on the main screen.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to back up data from your device.

To perform a factory data reset

  1. Back up any important data that is saved on the internal memory of your device to a memory card or other non-internal memory.
  2. Find and tap Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset.
  3. Tap Reset phone.
  4. If required, draw your screen unlock pattern or enter your screen unlock password or PIN to continue.
  5. To confirm, tap Erase everything.

Note

To avoid permanent damage to your device, do not interrupt factory data reset procedure.

Note

After the factory data reset you will lose access to all the encrypted files on your SD card.

Please, let me knoe if any of this tips helped!
