Hi, I own a Xperia Z5 Premium and I started to notice that its bottom speaker makes, sometimes, hissing or shrilling sounds, depending on which kind of audio is trying to come out of it and, specially, depending on the volume. My phone did suffer a fall, and the impact was just where the bottom speaker is localized, but I can't remember whether the noises coming out of the speaker started showing up after the fall or if they were already a problem before the fall.
I apologize for my lacking english
Hi @CaioGrego
So sorry to know that
I recomend you to try and run the Diagnose, since it can test a specific function or run a full diagnostic test to check if your Xperia device is working properly:
If you notice that the sound isn't as expected, it´s probably a hardware fault due to the fall 😕 In that case, i recommend you to contact your local support team if you want to repair your device!
Please, let me know how it goes!
It did just well at the test, not even at max volume, i guess the sample used for it wasn't the type of sound that causes noise coming out of the speaker. The bottom speaker starts to fail when the sound that is playing priorizes it, such as speaker phone calls, for instance. And a detail I forgot to mention is that when I put some pressure near the bottom speaker, the noises calm down a bit and the sound becomes cleaner. I guess it's a hardware problem, then?
Hi @CaioGrego
Sorry for the late replay!
I´ve been thinking i want to ask: do you play song/sond in question in Music app? Or is a 3rd app? Did you try to reset or change the Audio Settings?
Yes, I do use the Music App, I don't remember messing with the configurations, except for those DSEE HX, ClearAudio+, Sound Effects and Dinamic Normalizer. I can't seem to find a reset button/option, is there one?
You can clear Music app cache!
However, for those settings you just need to disable them and, in case of the Sound Effects, set the values to default
