Microphone Problem only in Regular Calls| Lolipop 5.0.2

Hi everyone,

I have Z1 for one year, and it was really nice time, recently i upgrade to Lolipop 5.0.2, but then the mic stop working good.

If i make or recieve  a normal call, the other side can not hear me well, the vocie is bad and sometime its gone totally.

But if i try to recode a voice or movie or even make an internet call using Watts App or Facebook massenger, the mic is okay and fine.

Only in regular call it stop working good.

Go to settings > call > uncheck the microphone noise suppression

I had the same problem with my Z1 I think it is due to memory leak in Andoid 5.0 and 5.0.2 Samsung and HTC owners have the same problem. I have solved the problem by moving all my apps (which can be moved) to the SD memory card. I live in Norway and everyone here has or had this problem, but for my part it is now resolved.

Hi, my xperia Z1 has the same problem after updating its android software, please help me to solve this problem. Because I can't talk anymore by the phone...

Have you tried disabling noise reduction under Settings > Call? If not, you can give it a try to see if it helps.

My Z1 always have problems with the handset. Suddenly I can't hear but If I reset all the settings or update the software I can hear. Help me, please

Does this happen when in safe mode as well? To turn the safe mode on, press and hold down the on/off key until the menu pops up. Here you press and hold down on the 'turn off' option until you get a question asking you about safe mode. Try running the phone in safe mode and see if the problems persist. If they do not, the issues you're experiencing is caused by 3rd party/installed software.

Problem only started after updating to lollipop. All voice calls worked fine since getting the phone 8 months ago. No new apps etc. Android sw only change.

I m also facing similar issue that when I call the other party says my breaks or some sort of computerised voice comes, voice is also unclear. I bought Sony xperia z1 four months ago. my problem was started before I updated it to lollipop. sound quality is fine on voice regarding.
I tried disabling noise suppression but in vain.
Now I will try pcc repair.
Sony please help me as in Pakistan Sony has closed their service centres for mobile phones.

Today I disabled noise suppression, speaker voice enhancement and changed voice quality to normal from bright and My z1 has started behaving very normal. I Hope it stays fine.

Its bad R&D from Sony xperia they have not done compatibility studies properly Lolipop is not suitable for Z1 kindly file a petetion in consumer forum you will get full money back or upgraded version of any xperia devise
