Mic problem returned after update 6.0.1

I had problem with mic - people couldn't hear me, because my voice was very quiet. Then I switched off mic noise suppression and everything was fine. Until update to 6.0.1. Now I have the same problem. And I can't switch off mic noise suppression, because this option is simply missed.

Any ideas how to fix this now? Or I should downgrade to previous android version?

UPD: may,19. Sony market topic as solved. But it isn't really solved at the moment. They will roll out an update in "upcoming weeks". And because we still have the same problem, I unmarked topic as solved. As soon as we will have the noise suppression option back and this will really help us - then I will return the solved mark.

UPD 2: In. 575 version the noise suppression function is back. People can hear me again. Thanks, Sony

Same problem occurs again! Thought that already fixed issues would also be included within major upgrades. Wrong assumption!

Same problem here, bad call audio quality. I have tried different audio settings (e.g. clear audio, bright or normal equalizer) and called my phone number and left several voice messages to hear what other people were telling me about the sound and quality of my voice call. The sound is low, the voice is not bright and seems muffled and seems to be coming and going, like underwater. Have done all the tests that the sony people told me, nothing works. Seem to have received a minor marshmallow update (http://www.xperiablog.net/2016/05/04/new-beta-marshmallow-update-stamina-battery-mode/) yesterday the 11th of May (Ireland) and while the stamina mode is back, the noise suppression function they said they would reinstate is not there. However, I did trials by speaking into the microphone and that doesnt make much of a difference so I dont think is noise suppression as even intentionally directed voice doesn' t register too well. Sony, we need an immediate update, I use my phone to speak to cients and people keep on saying they can't hear me well and are struggling. I dont want to lose more clients, Need to fix this issue right away! Please help or I will buy a Samsung.

Same Problem! Please, Sony, don't forget: People still use their phones for PHONE CALLS!

This is extremely annoying. Try to fix this soon!

Had this problem earlier and fixed it by turning off the Microphone noise suppression. Well, with the latest Marshmallow update the option is gone and the problem  is back. Knowing that this won't be fixed anytime soon - if at all, I guess it's time to switch to another Android brand. I have no use for a smart phone that I can't use as a phone.

Same problem here. 2 days ago i updated to Marshmallow and now everyone complaining about my voice in phone. Noone can hear me. I saw a lot of people complaining about it here but nothing happens and i think this is pretty annoying from such a big company Sony is. Im in the industrial area and my experience about japanese quality systems is not like this. All of us paid a lot for our phones and would like to use it as well but it looks like noone cares about us...

Hmm...i found something interesting i think. When i go into service menu there is a "Microphone" test wich sounds well after trying it but there is a "Secondary microphone" test wich i think is working while im in a call because the quality of that secondary microphone is reall, really bad.

Maybe i found a solution at least my last 2 calls was fine. I will test it more tomorrow because its too late here in Hungary to call anyone! Slightly_smiling_Face

So go to Settings -> Applications -> Google -> Permissions -> Turn off microphone

I hope it will help for others too!
