Mic on Xperia Z not working for some apps

Mic stopped working for some apps such as viber and track id. Video recording works only when mic is set to off.

However skype, bbm calls and normal phone calls are working fine.

Can anyone help please?

Also, talk to text options dont work with keyboard and. Voice dialer doesn't work either.

Android ver is 4.3

Yep. No mic options in any.

Found the problem. Complicated one. Magic Jack app blocks the use of the mic for other apps so closed it and problem solved.

A few hours doing trial n error.

I also have kitkat on my C6603, when taking a video the sound is not being recorded. Something you wouldn't expect from a premium device with a former premium price. Have you found a lasting fix with the app you mentioned? 

Also, for those with kitkat issues on the Z, one of which involves the stuttering lag in the 'Settings' menu. This can be fixed by enabling 'Developer Options' (search Google for details if you are unaware of what this is) and enable force GPU. Rebooting the phone therein will hopefully solve the issue, but I have noticed the live wallpaper seems to be causing lag on the homescreen. 

Problems. Always problems with Sony - through experience. I hope they release a fix within the next couple weeks otherwise i'm moving to a different manufacturer. Since I have had my Z I have had nothing but issues.
