From a computer stance if that message appears it normally means that that a file is open somewhere to can't transfer the file
It also happens with me, everytime I try to transfer files it's 'interrupted' when I transfer it from my phone to the SD card (with the phone itself). The only thing that helped me is taking out my SD card and putting it back
Hi nuguluke,
Discussion Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines
This may be due to the size of the data being transferred through the app. I suggest trying File Commander, simply cut and paste in to the SD card.
I keep getting that 'transfer interrupted message' everytime I try to transfer photos, the size is just 2 -5 mb, I have 23 GB free on my 32 GB memory card. The phone has 7.3 GB free of 11.57 GB. Even if I transfer through File commander, there pops up a message saying 'file not found'. I don't understand and I don't want to take out my SD card all the time just for a transfer. Thank u in advance
That sounds like you could have DRM on the content you are trying to move, DRM will not transfer to an SD card because it is protected.
You could try using Media Go, this may allow you to transfer to content to the SD card with the DRM intact.
let us know how you get on.
I'll keep u updated if it helped

I keep getting notifications to transfer files to my SD card (which has 18gb of free space) but whenever I try to transfer files it shows an error message saying that the transfer was interrupted? Would really appreciate it if someone knows how to fix this problem.

Hi. I had this problem before and posted a thread here too. Most of the suggestions were to perform a factory reset, or just connect the device to your PC and stuff like that. Some even said that the file may be too big or there may be problems with the SD card.
Factory reset solves this problem, but its too much of a hassle to reinstall everything again.
Connecting to a PC is okay if you had one, or you know where the files are located for transfer. In this case, you may have just performed the "transfer to SD card" feature from under the Storage settings.
File size? nah, thats not it. Could it be that your SD card may be broken. But if that is not the case, go to your phone right now, check this path using a file manager (highly recommend using File Commander as this is the only file manager of the Z-series that can write to SD card under Android 4.4.4))
Internal storage/DCIM/Camera
Check an image there that has a colon ( : ) in its filename. If there are lots of images there (probably taken with Google Camera, Camera360, or Hangouts), just rename the one that has a colon in the filename. If the problem is still there, rename the long filenames to shorter ones and make sure to remove characters like colon (:) and semi colon (;) if present.
That's it! Now do the "Transfer to SD card" feature again.
You're welcome.
everything's been working perfect for now. If it ever happens again I'll try your method. However I just went to that location you told me, but I can't see any photos, the file is empty. If i get that annoying pop up message while transferring my files to sd car, I'll look again. But thanks a lot man
