Info-eye version and update

First, AVG (it comes with the phone by default) reports Info-eye is a spyware.  Then, I follow AVG recommendation and uninstalled Info-eye through AVG.

Tried different anti-virus / security app ... pretty much sure Info-eye isn't a spyware.  Now I have uninstalled AVG for good.

It seems Info-eye has restored to default version after the uninstallation, but its update is gone.  The version I have now is 1.5.08.  Tried using Xperia Update Center (Settings > Refresh), no more updates.

Questions:

1.  Is v1.5.08 the latest Info-eye for Z3?  I found v1.6.07 from non-official forums.

2.  If it isn't the latest, how do I force update / redownload the update manually?

can someone help to confirm the latest Info-Eye version on Z3?

Version lookup procedure:

Settings > Apps > All > Info-Eye > version 1.?.??

Disappointed that nobody care to help ... not even try to confirm the version # for me.  I have provide instructions ... how hard is it?

Anyways, just received update through xperia update center ... the latest version I have is 1.6.07.

Sorry for the late response and glad to hear that you got the update for Info-eye back again.
I’m afraid it’s hard to say for sure what could have caused this but it might have been that it took some time for Update Center to see that you had removed the update for Info-eye. The version you have now, 1.6.07, is the latest at the moment.
Regarding the report you got from AVG it must have been a false positive which sometimes can happen with antivirus softwares. Info-eye is not a spyware.
