Don't know if this helps, but I had the same problem. I connected my phone to my computer, backed up all info, you may have to restart the phone or tablet. And then the home and every button is now working, don't know how, just is.
Hello,
I faced the same problem. Straight logic tells the story:
1- Shut down the phone
2- I opened the back cover carefully with a thin spatula.
3- Carefully removed the battery from its compartment
4- I pushed gently 3-4 times to where button comes across
Then I solved the problem. My problem was hardware caused. It might be a simple loose connection.
Topic is aged, I'm aware. My intention is to help those who face this problem.
what happens after you open the covers and find it pink? the front or the back cover?
