hi all,
on my previous xperia sp on jelly bean i recall i could choose to hide any available updates, i cant seem to find similar option on z3 c? not a major problem was just wondering.
cheers.
Solved! Go to Solution.
To hide System Updates:
- Choose "Settings" - "Apps" and find the "Update Center" app.
- In the App-info screen you can disable notifications.
OR
- Choose "Settings" - "Personalize" - "Notifications" and deselect "Update Center".
In this way I suppress the notification of the Lollipop upgrade.
I am not sure about this,5.0 is a major system update and what I think you can do is just postpone, not get rid of the notifications.
ok, thx for that,,
You could head over XDA and ask about this though.
I believe updates are now done through the Whats new app - You could try and disable this app or use a program found on XDA called debloater to disable this app if this function isn't available through your phones options however this is for your consideration and is an unofficial method so I'm not endorsing it just pointing you in another direction
I thought he was referring to the 5.0 update as a whole, not notifications about app updates. In this case, disabling what's new might help.
hi, yes sorry i did mean update notifications,, I'm still on and staying on kitkat but noticed i cant hide any updates like i could on jellybean, i just select " dont update automatically" on the z3c, whereas on jb i could choose hide this update and it never showed on update list when xperia sp searched for any updates when i refreshed, but like i said it dont bother me was just curious. but i do much prefer the z3 c, but as i say on the lollipop feedback topic I'm staying on kitkat 444. thx for input guys.
So for KK you can still use the Debloater app but this time disable Update centre
