FM works only if screen is locked

Hi,

Am using Xperia Z2 D6502 , 5.1.1 version..  My FM stopped working..  I did the following steps,

1. power off phone and switched ON , still FM didnt work

2. went to settings, cleared chache , disabled , enabled.. Followed step 1 again. still no use

3. Lost all hope, simply locked screen .. FM started playing.. if I switch unlock screen, it stops working..

Any suggestion pls?

Turn off "Ok Google" service.

Hi @xcuseme123,

Sgizmo can be on to something here, do you happen to have "Ok Google" detection enabled from any screen? You can check this in the Google app if you tap the three lines in the upper left corner, then tap Settings > Voice > "Ok Google" detection. If "From any screen" is enabled here, try disabling it and see how the FM radio behaves after doing so.

Yes its true, but if you does not disable "From the Google app" then if you start Google app the radio stop working.

That is correct.

This is because the Google Now application uses the microphone to recognize voice commands. In this case, the Xperia device stops all sounds in order to get the best quality for voice recognition.
