Fingerprint sensor diagnostic test doesn' work (Z5 Compact)

Hi. I have problem with diagnostic test of fingerprint sensor (menu-settings-about phone-diagnostic-test-fingerprint sensor). It says it should vibrate when it detecs finger on sensor while testing. But nothing happnes. But fingerprint sensor works fine while unlocking phone, even in service menu is detected. So could someone from sony or users test diagnostic app and report if it's just me. Phone is just week old. And if it' fault, could you (Sony) fix it?

Hi @mrnino,

Could you try removing all added fingerprints in your phone through Settings > Security > Fingerprint Manager, then do the Diagnostics test again?

@mrnino

It doesn't work on my Z5 also, I'll try to escalate this.

@Christofer this way test works.

Thanks for taking the time to test it. Seems like that was the cause of this then. Slightly_smiling_Face

Yeah, it doesn't work at all for me either on my Xperia Z5 Premium. And the scanner itself logs me in about 2/10 tries. It's practically completely worthless.

Anytime @Christofer

Do you plat to fix it?

I'm not sure if this is something that will be changed in the future but I have forwarded this as feedback internally.

Same for me

I've had to delete fingerprints to see if fingers worked in diagnostic and it works !

So it's a stupid bug, I think.

@Christofer

After update to Marshmallow 6.0 I noticed that fingerprint sensor diagnostic test is missing. Should I consider it as "repair" of issue I have posted here before?
