Dear Gentlemen,
i connect my mobile Z3 with our Exchange Server (email system) everytime i try to make sync or refresh i get this Message
“Could not open connection to server”
please there is any way to solve this problem

Same here. I have been sending & receiving email on my Z3 via Exchange for over 2 months. A lot of recommended updates were applied at the weekend and I noticed last night that email was no longer arriving. I have the same error message - Could not open connection to server. I have tried on a wifi and 4g connection but the same problem occurs. The issue affects incoming email. I can still send out.
I'm another who suddenly can't receive hotmail/outlook emails and is getting the 'can't connect' message. If it were just my home wifi, I should have picked them up in other places. I have just downloaded the most recent version of microsoft exchange, but so far that hasn't made any difference. Under Accounts it says it last synced today, but the emails are still not arriving. Googlemail is ok, and I have no problems receiving hotmail/outlook on other devices.
I have just tried opening my hotmail account through the google search box, and can see recent emails that way.
Update: I installed the Outlook app on my phone and can see my emails that way, then disabled the Email app and installed the Gmail app separately. Not as convenient as a single inbox, but at least I can receive and send emails.
I seem to recall a similar problem a few years ago when I had a different phone--it turned out to be Google withdrawing support for Microsoft exchange. So perhaps this is similar. Does anyone know?
To Dave: I have the same issue after deleting a full trash box. I have so far tried force stop of both Email and Exchange Services apps and then restarted. Still nothing. Any thoughts Sony? I'm not downloading another app and frankly I'm sick of Sony suggesting this as "solutions". Want me to download a brand new app? Then get rid of your bloatware.
Same problem with a Z3. Started this Aug (2016). Deleted the app and re-installed. Fixed the issue for about a week. Like others, I have not changed password or settings. Can send, but not receive new emails to inbox. I recall a software update not long ago, so I'll assume it's from that.
I've now installed the Outlook mail app, and that works fine.
PS...this phone gets HOT! constantly hearing "your phone's battery is over heated"
First and last Sony phone. Will go back to Samsung.
