Choosing a song for a ringtone - nearly can't hear it.

Hi Everyone - I'm new here and new to Sony with a Xperia Z2.......coming from a Samsung S3.

I have tried to select a song for the phone's ringtone. During the selection, the phone plays the song nice and loud. But aftr selecting the song and clicking done....and then receiving a call, I can barely hear the ringtone/song, just the vibrate.

I hope there is a simple fix and I am just missing something.

did you check the volume of the ring tones? Make sure the volume for "Ringtones & notifications" is seto to max. and unchecked "Increasing ringtone". see if this helps.

Now I'm feeling pretty silly.....I went into Setting ->  Sound -> and every option in there. I thought "Volumes" was a heading and diddn't tap on it......silly me. That was it!!
