Cannot open apps on sd card

Hi, I transferred a couple of apps to my SD card and it have worked fine until today. The few apps that are on the SD card cannot be opened. When o try it says that I can't open the app because it's on the SD card even if the card is in the phone and I can see that it works. It's just that I can't open the apps. Please help me it's important.

I'm sorry to hear that, which apps are acting up? perhaps the SD card it's faulty

Facebook and some games etc. Probably it's as you say, faulty because it's like 5 years old. Thank you anyways
