can't unmute my phone

I just got my new phone, but I cannot unmute it, which means I can't have phone conversations. If I press on the mute icon it gets darker or lighter, but never unmutes. Any ideas what I can do?

Try settings-apps-all-phone,force stop and clear data.Restart and check again.

I am sorry but I can't find any "clear data" Maybe you can walk me through step by step.

that was a quick fix. After I restarted the phone it worked. Thank you for you help.

I just restarted it. Makes you feel pretty dump if you can't have a conversation on your smartphone, lol. Thanks again

I updated ma phone z1 but afterwards i had no call conversation. How can you help me out please
