Camera blurred with macro?

Hello,

i take 2 photos with the Z5 Compact and the Samsung S5 mini.

Is my Camera damaged or is this a joke?

I can't see the pictures at the moment I'm afraid, however bear in mind due to the much wider angle lens in Z5, the focus is a minimum of 12cm. Anything less than this will be blurry

Happens with my XA. Sending it back

It will happen with any phone that is beyond the focus range.

i guess so

in that case my 2013 and 2011 motorolas had better focus range.

the argument is that it is firmware, like the XA ultra

No, the firmware, I can confirm, will not change the lenses focus range.

No it won't, and it won't change the ability of the sensor either. However all cameras have computing in them which determines how the focus works and translates what the camera sees. Especially in colours. What if the thing controlling the lease or the communications software were to stop working?
It is firmware in the XA as they have sent an update for it
