Hello guys,
I have an issue which appeared suddenly and wont go away.
My voice is very low on the other side, people saying its like I am talking from far away from the microphone.
There is no issue with voice recording or when I use headphones. I already restarted the phone but issue keeps beeing there.
It is like the z5 is lowering my voice through the mic during a call, is it the noise cancellation malfunkctioning maybe?

Same problem here.
Microphone works in diagnostics.
When speaking to people on the phone, they cannot hear me, unless i speak 2 mm from the mic.
Speaker and headset works fine.
Same issue as reported by so many people here and in other posts. e.g. here http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z5-Z5-Compact-Z5-Premium/Z5-Microphone-Problem/td-p/1070771/pag...
Hello guys, I had the same problem until 2 days ago. I read somewhere some apps hijacked the mic. So i made some adjustments on my phone settings, an Xperia Z5 dual. My phone in on portuguese because i am portuguese, but i'll tell you what i made guessing what would say on the menus in english. Well, i went to Settings> apps>app settings (upper right corner) > override other apps, or something like that, the second option on advanced options. On this options i sellected "NO" on every app that could use the mic. Additionally i installed an app from Play Store called "Sound Calibration". Well, what i know is from 2 days ago until now people hear me very well. Try it yourself, maybe it could solve your problem as it did to me on android 6.0.1
How do you upgrade the firmware?
I have this exact problem and my phone says it's up to date..
I ran diagnostics and the mic sensitivity is really low indeed, the recording is very quiet even if I speak loudly.
I do not see "Sound Calibration" in the Play Store. Is it still there?
