Calendar Problem

Hi

Got Z1  and have found that the calendar entries I have are not hi-lighted?

Anyone else have this or am I doing something wrong?

My older nokia phones had a better calender than the sony xperia z1 calendar. I carry my Nokia with me just for the symbian calendar. What a funny position i am in after buying Z1. The calendar doesnt highlight events. Even the paper calendar in my home highlights events or important dates... ! Adding more to the junk, the calender doesnt add an automatic reminder for FB birthday events synced automatically. My Nokia N8 automatically adds reminders for each FB synced birthdays.. More over the smart Key (by sony) application installed on Z1 screws up the whole phone during calls. Most of the phone doesnt work because of it.. Simple things were solid in symbian to my surprise! shell shocked !

I open calendar, it opens, and within couple of seconds a pop-up appears CALENDAR HAS STOPPED WORKING.
Suggestions appreciated.

Sorry to hear that your calendar is not working.

I recommend that you first try to reset the calendar application from Settings -> Apps -> All -> Calendar -> Clear data -> OK and then restart the phone. This will not delete any of your meetings.

If this doesn't help there may be some sort of issue with the calendar storage and you need to reset that as well from Settings -> Apps -> All -> Calendar storage -> Clear data -> OK. Clearing data for this app will however delete all your meetings. If you have them synchronized with for example Google the phone will however download them again but any meetings that you have in your phone that are not synchronized will be permanently deleted.
