Bug: Have to push WPS to access saved WIFI spots

I'm experiencing the following strange bug. I suddenly noticed that my phone had forgotten some saved WIFI networks, and also that it kept forgetting them once I've saved them. I tried many different things, but by coincidence I saw that the following works. Pushing the WPS button and then cancelling brings back the forgotten networks. Sometimes it still doesn't connect automatically, but doing the same trick again makes the phone start connecting.

Model: D5503

Android: 4.4.2

Version: 14.3.A.0.757

Best regards,

George

The issue was finally resolved by using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brilliapps.wifiandmorefixer&hl=en to remove all stored WiFi passwords.

In fact, the old passwords were automatically restored for me (I guess via a backup on google). Even better: the networks that I had been trying to add over the last months (which the phone always seems to forget) are now magically appearing! I guess that my wifi config file was badly broken.

I have now upgraded to 14.4.A.0.108 and the bug persists. In general the wifi-hotspots I connect to and save are never remembered when I disconnect the wifi. For some old hotspots, the above trick can still make the phone to remember the hotspot.
