Hi,
There seems to be a software problem with apt-x audio streaming.
When i pair my Sennheiser MM 550-X to my Xperia Z1, all works fine at first.
If i turn off the headphones and turn them back on again, the connection automatically gets re-established (also normal).
But then when i start to stream ... the audio is all choppy and there is a verry loud and fast ticking sound, the music is totally distorted, i can't even make up what song is playing.
If i pair the headphones again the problem is gone untill it automatically reconnects. Its a software bug for sure.
I'm experiencing the exact same problem as nicost and phonopile However I have connected my Z2 tablet to a 2013 Mazda 6 car system with no problem, connected to a JBL flip bluetooth speaker with no problem and an Onkyo 828 amplifier with no issue. The one problem I have is with a Polk Woodbourne bluetooth speaker (This has aptx and the other devices don't) . My thoughts are that the issue is with the apt-x integration as all my other apt-x capable devices connect no problem (LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy S4). This is not something I can fix so please Sony release a fix for this issue or refund me my money for the tablet. 🙂
hi my Xperia Z1 was recently updated now i have a problem when i connect to my bluetooth devices playing audio connecting to calls works but when i need to skip songs using the remote or bluetooth remote it doesnt want to what can be the problem
@Michael:
Thank you for the fix, the Xperia Bluetooth media app. I have an Xperia XA1 and was facing the same issues, tried this app and finally no more muting of my audio in my Seat Ateca's media system. I knew it wasnt the car and most likely the phone. Mainly using Spotify in the car via bluetooth.
Thanks again
