Battery Usage - 10.5.1.A.0.283

This morning I updated my phone with the above update (xeria Z)

In 6 hours the battery was depleted, checked the power managment and the Exchange services was draining the battery.

I have 2 emails configured and both of them checking for emails every hour.

Any ideas ?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Have you tried to remove your Email accounts and added them again? If not, I suggest that you go to Settings > Exchange ActiveSync > Press at your@account > Menu button (the one with three dots) > Remove. When this is done, you can add them again to see if you experience the same behaviour.

When Android OS drags a lot of battery, it's often a function that wakes the phone and prevents it to go to sleep mode. But unfortunately, it's hard to say what app or function that cause this behaviour. You can always try to boot the phone into safe mode to see if you experience the same behaviour:

Otherwise, if you have not activated STAMINA mode via Settings > Power management > STAMINA mode, I suggest that you do so. This function should prevent this kind of behaviour.

Same here about the Android OS usage. My phone was giving a battery life of 27-28 hours on moderate usage but today suddenly I noticed that Android OS is using up 82% of my battery. I hope you guys can find out the cause and help us a quickly as you can. Here's my screenshot:-

Same issue here.

I have been trying to figure out what's wrong with my phone for more than a week. I have uninstalled most of the downloaded apps I had, and I even tough that I had it solved because I have been a cople of days without the issue.

This morning don't know why, It have happened again. When the problem arises, the phone can't go into deep sleep mode, draining the battery.

I use betterbaterystats app to monitor wakelocks and the culprit is PowerManagerService.wakelocks (which doesn't mean a thing)

After rebooting the phone it can enter deep sleep mode again, but I can't find what triggers the problem.
