apt-x support

Does xperia Z1 Compact support apt-x codec for bluetooth?

I can't find anything on this subjet. Sony does not mention it in Z1 Compact specs sheet (unlike for the Z1 ultra), but a page dedicated to Z1 compact exist on the official apt-x website.

I would appreciate if someone could enlighten me on this subject.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

It supports apt-x.

You can find this and more technical specifications in the product white paper.

Hi Johan, I own a Xperia Z1c. Unfortunately apt-X does not work properly in real-life. When connecting to a Philips sound system which also supports apt-X, "there is a very loud and fast ticking sound, the music is totally distorted." Please see /t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/Bluetooth-audio-streaming-problem/td-p/407235 for more details.
