Hallo everyone, our beatiful handset will soon receive Android 5 upgrade, I'd like to know which is the best way to make this...Is it better to make a hard reset before AND after the upgrade? Only after? Some tips pls...

Update then perform a system repair - That's all you need to do to make sure your phone is free from upgrade issues

How different we all are. I want to know how I can AVOID having kthis installed on my new phone. I think the GUI looks appalling no matter what othe benefits it may have. And don't forget there are some problems, I believe, with excessive. battery drain when WiFi is turned on or something like that.

No thanks. I'll pass on Lollipop for the time being.

Sorry but I'm new to sony phones, when you're talking of system repair do you mean I need to connect the z3c to the pc and use pc companion?

To perform a system repair - This will factory reset your phone

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

That's a system repair

Thx a lot! I understand HHGTTG doubts but I've read that the upgrade should increase battery performances, isn't it?

This is all personal preference and how you as an individual perceive things and also how you use your device

Battery drain bug was in a beta, which has now been ironed out. Regardless, given Googles and Sonys recent update track record (PS4 2.0 rest mode bug, anyone?), I will give it a few weeks to see how it goes
