After the lollipop update the sony xperia z1 tasks app goes missing

All the saved tasks  can't be restored at the moment as I no longer have the app

is there anyway we can recover the data?

i can see the task app under settings>apps>all

but not sure where exactly the data is stored

please help

Did you accidentally disabled that and didn't notice? try to check if you have the disabled tap under your Apps, that maybe one of the reason that is not show up on All.

How about trying to backup the Calender VIA PC Companion, If i'm correct; PC Companion should be able to capture the task data as well when you perform a backup of your calender.

same problem here too. Z1 compact. 5.0.2. the tasks app is missing. it is showing up in the settings --> apps --> all tab but not there anywhere else. how to bring it back?

FYI, the Tack is not a seperate app that will show up on the app drawer, Infect it is intergrated to your native calender app.

try to check on your calender, slide out the Year/Month/Day filter on the left. The last option it should be name as task.

A staff could kindly help to verify would be greatly appreciated or kindly correct me if i have miss anything.

@bharatraj From Sony they believe the Tasks app is now incorporated into the Google keep app
