XZP Bionz Image Processor

Hello!

I've been looking everywhere ... is the Bionz Image Processor a hardware processor, or a software image processing engine?

If it's hardware, how it compares with Huawei AI or Pixel 2 Visual Core?

Hi @Inerent

As far as i'm concerned, the BionZ is software image processor!

About Pixel 2 i´m read that only 3rd part apps can acess it, to take advantage of the full camera pottencial. The main camera doesn´t use it at the moment.

But in the XZ Premium you find all Montion Eye camera, that got upgraded in the Android 8! And the stacked DRAM that delivers fast data readout speeds, making it possible to capture still images of fast-moving subjects with minimal focal plane distortion as well as super slow motion videos.

Hello Diego,

I was asking because I saw some kind of AI when taking photos, the phone recognizes shapes, motion, objects, etc

I will mark as solution, but first I need more opinions on this.

P. S. I think stock camera is one of the best.

I am using it in auto mode, but  with manual controls of color and brightness and the photos are better than manual mode shutter speed and ISO.

Seriously I think is one of the best even in low light, just needs some time to fine tune the auto bionz before that perfect shot. 😋😋😋

@Inerent

What you see is the Superior auto mode. Something that depends on Sony know-how of decades on camera department. The algorithms know everything and with an amazing accuracy! You even have Motion Eye tech! It´s amazing. Specially the Predicted Capture feature :smileysmileythumbsup:

Yes, manual mode is amazing to get all your crativy run wild and free! You have nice options. You just need to know what you want to capture, and what your conditions.

I´ll share this Sony Mobile link about some tips Slightly_smiling_Face

Yes Diego!

Superior auto mode with manual color and brightness is the best!

This is the reason I am not rooting my XZP.

I understand that 120Hz puts pressure on the phone and I agree no warranty for this, but we need at least Displayport Alt Mode for stock from Sony.

@Inerent

It would be nice, but you can´t forget that Android itself don´t run on 4K! It isn't useful in my opinion. And i´m not even talk about the battery life. Let's see what the future brings Slightly_smiling_Face

I need it to play my 4k, fhd 60fps content with my children on my 4k hdr tv and it s really frustrating to do it with miracast or by uploading to youtube. Also this phone can be the best TV box... Anyway I have my reasons. I need Displayport alt mode! Point.
