XZ Premium cannot reconnect to WiFi after Oreo

Hi there!

After update to Oreo my XZ Premium (and my XZ1 Compact) sometimes (but not always) cannot reconnect to saved WiFi networks. Even if I go to WiFi settings and force it to connect via menu it still cannot connect. It connects smoothly after restart. Very annoying. 

Another interesting bug is that sometimes it takes my phone quite a while to open address book. Restart cures this one too.

Been having this issue with my xzp since January, I have been with Sony since the first z and have never had any problems but after four months of this from Sony and a phone that takes me back to the dial up era I'm done.

Yup same thing here. It can take a few days before it happens but when it does its infuriating. 

It says under the network name "disabled" or more brilliantly "out of range" even though I'm standing right next to the router. And yea it started happening after the oreo update. I hope it gets fixed and soon.

omg same i have this issue after i updated the phone to april security patch 

its really frustating when playing game or watching videos online.

really hope for BUG FIX soon its already may. I always restart my phone when its happen.

no i have the same and it is very frustrating because i do not pay so much money for a broken product !

in my opinion this is a joke i need my wifi for work and i need it often .so basically i paid 600euro for a phone that is broken now and no one can tell me when they will fix it.it's obvious they broke it because before it was working fine i will ask for compensation if this problem continues !

I am having the same problem. Have to reboot the phone to reconnect to wifi. When this problem happens i cant even access any of the phone settings.

Have had this a while. First when I got the phone it was fine but now its no good. 

So connected to my wifi and every now and then I have to re-connect just to get it going again. Also happens on different WiFi places I go to.

Getting to the point were I am fed up of this phone now and planning to get rid of it cus of the problem.

I have a same problem with my phone. 

It is really frustrating and battery is drained in no time because of the connection drop and search. 

I hope that Sony comes with solutions to this problem because it started after the last update. 

 There is nothing wrong with my router that's working fine, no problems with it.

I'm also now having the same issue since the April update but only on my home wifi not work or any other networks. My z2 and about 6 other phones are all fine on my home wifi just not my Sony Xperia XZ Premium since the April update?

Could it be a 2.4 or 5 GHz issue or something else Router related? It is trying to connect to home on 5 GHz wpa2 psk, but not sure how to get it to use 2.4. Just as I'm typing it did eventually connect to 5 GHz! 

Any and all suggestions welcomed!
