Why haven't Sony brought the new call screen to the Xperia XZ Premium?

Hello everyone!

I have recently updated to the Android Oreo on the Xperia XZ Premium and I have noticed I still have the old dialer / call screen.. I have been really excited when I've seen they have finally changed the dialer.. I seen it on XZ1 and XZ1 Compact but why haven't they brought it to the XZ Premium? Does anyone know?

if they want xzp to become outdated so soon xz premium is not so much "premium" nor flagship anymore

i tried install dialer.apk and contact.apk from xz1 , but it didn't get installed ''App not installed'' error. and im not rooted!

any solution to port it to XZ Premium without root?

Here, I tried with my XZP, unrooted, November Security patches. Works perfectly...

Sony the app works just fine with the XZP, just give it to it... Why is it available for devices with Oreo out of the box. Just include the XZP. Leave the older ones out...

Bro.. its working in my XZs. thnq but in the oreo video, the background is black..im getting it in a light shade of green or cyan.. anything to be done to see it in black??

Hi Everyone,

You might experience that the new incoming call screen that let's you swipe up to answer a call, and swipe down to reject a call introduced in the XZ1-series, is missing in Xperia XZ Premium. Devices released with a lower Android version will not receive this feature, even if they are updated to Android 8.0 (Oreo).

I am sorry to say that I do not have more in-depth information in regards to this, but it is by design.

I don't need new dialer, but old one needs to be fixed to. In Russia we have very long names and they are showing cuted on the dialer screen. We need second line for name!

but app phone (XZ1) ported for XZP didn't have some trouble
