Why haven't Sony brought the new call screen to the Xperia XZ Premium?

Hello everyone!

I have recently updated to the Android Oreo on the Xperia XZ Premium and I have noticed I still have the old dialer / call screen.. I have been really excited when I've seen they have finally changed the dialer.. I seen it on XZ1 and XZ1 Compact but why haven't they brought it to the XZ Premium? Does anyone know?

Thanks in advance!

How You know if You have older one? Did You check the version of the app on XZp and XZ1? Maybe one found on XZ1 was transitory and that's why it looked more like AOSP not Xperia?

Or they just forgot. If it has older version than it should be very easy to update it - get an .apk from XZ1 and install it.

I mean the video, look how the dialer / calling screen looks there. People also have told me it does looks like that in the XZ1 and XZ1 Compact. So I wonder why don't we see this on the XZ Premium pre-installed.. How can they forget?...dfhfjkl;l.png

I wonder too why Sony have not implemented new incoming call screen for XZ Premium. Despite it's promoted on video. And also many other featurs which have not been implemented....

Maybe try to use apk from XZ1 firmware?

I added .apk to it yesterday, but it seems that post was removed.

Use unSIN to unpack system.sin of XZ1 and than open it using ext2explore (or mount .ext4 image on Linux). Or contact me any other way (PM, FB - Jaola Tymon) and i will send that You apk.

What update? 47.1.A.5.51 is already out there for sometime and didn't bring new UI...

Don;t think it will came even in next one.

Maybe with 8.1...

I agree, it's frustrating. It's not like they're entirely different phones or anything...

This is a very simple marketing trick to make the XZ Premium look like older model than XZ1 series. I work for a tech and media company and we do it all the time to push consumers to buy new versions of our products by making older version look aged.
