Nope - gps symbol back on status panel with persistence, about 10 hrs after upgrade reboot.

Now you must choose that option in the Home Page settings,  but it still works after you select it.

After the update new Aspect menu in the Settings (more options), new icons for the apps shortcuts, and update of the Support app to version 3.6.12 that solved the issue with "information unavailable" being now the correct information displayedNew Aspect menu

The option is there in your Xperia Home settings, just long press on any empty space on your homescreen and enable it from settings.

well at lease in xz1c the gps icon bug is gone. i made a 24 hours test with multiple gps apps, and the icon is gone.
